    We are reducing our car rental rates, for rentals, pick-ups and returns during the lockdown period- until 31 May 2020. That means if you’re an Essential Worker, working in health and social care, transportation of food or fuel, or security, you qualify for this offer.
    You’re doing amazing work on our behalf and we know essential travel is a challenge right now. So, we want to help keep you mobile. We would love to help you serve.

    The following cars are available (prices per day*):
    Hyundai I10, Grand I10 or Datsun Go R400.00 per day with 200km free
    Contract fee R100.00
    • An official permit to perform an essential service must be presented at our office
    • Available for domestic South African rentals only
    • Due to the lockdown we are on skeleton staff and open for limited hours per day.

In order to slow down the spread of the virus, we are taking the following actions:

Vehicles
We have enhanced our already robust cleaning techniques of our vehicles after each rental and in particular, we are paying special attention to places that people touch such as door handles, steering wheels, controls and other hard surfaces by cleaning these with alcohol-based sanitizer.

Facilities
We are cleaning all our facilities frequently with recommended sanitizing products.   This includes work surfaces, telephone handsets, computer keyboards, laptops, tablets, cell phones and frequently handled equipment. We have placed hand sanitisers at key points in all of our sites to encourage customers, suppliers, visitors and employees to constantly clean their hands. Further to this surgical face masks and hand gloves have been provided to most of our sites and can be used by employees, if they so choose.

Welfare of our Employees
We are taking steps to ensure the welfare of our employees and this includes instructing all employees who feel ill to stay at home and consult their healthcare providers. All our staff are being informed to be vigilant about frequent hand washing. We strongly advise against direct personal contact such as handshakes and hugging as this could also transmit the infection.

Chauffeur Driven Services
Our chauffeur drive, point-to-point and vehicle shuttle drivers are being provided with gloves to wear and the recommended sanitising products for their hands and the customer luggage, if they so wish

Our business offers a 24-hour, 7 days a week service on car rentals. Additionally, we meet all flights at OR Tambo International Airport at no extra charge, regardless of time. Should your needs differ, we also offer a personal “Bring and collect” service. This service applies to and from other locations such as hotels, etc. This is subject to a pre-quoted fee. This is also dependant on the estimated travel distance.

Should you need it, Avo Car Rental also offers drivers, if needed. We will also adhere to most special requests, if arranged in advance. Eg, if you need child-safety seats and small luggage trailers. Our business wants to save you the hassle of walking miles to collect or drop your car hire. So, we can meet you at the drop&go zone, easy and hassle free!
